Choosing web hosting for
our website can be difficult. There are lots of company that provide web
hosting service. Since there are lots of them, looking for one that most
suitable our need might take some time. There are also lots of company
which will provide free hosting or free sub domain name, when we host with
them. However, normally free hosting will have one disadvantage that is they
tend to have some sort of advertisement on our site. That is the way they
earn… While
preparing for this page, I have do some searching on internet and found that
there were lots of website hosting that is very cheap, and some on them may be
the cheapest web hosting that you can find. However, cheap hosting normally
didn’t give as much as support or the feature may be far less compared to
more expensive site hosting. I
have no offence to cheap website hosting and feel that it is okay to host my
site with some of the cheap web hosting. However, we also must check out and
make sure that the company that provide cheap hosting is a good company with
good customer service. This is to make sure that our website can be host by
this provider and we don’t need to change to another hosting after several
month of sign up.

Space here is the space that we can keep our file on the server. If the space
that they offer is small, then the number of file that we can load to the
server is also not much. However, I also would like to point out something
here, because lots and lots of us will proud that our web hosting have

The point that I would like to highlight here is that we normally didn’t
utilize the space given to us. For example, if average size of our page is 20
Kb, we can have about 50 page for only one Mb of space. Therefore, a 20

suitable space… even then, normally we didn’t need much space for the

Personally I think data transfer is very important and we should check and

website. Normally, hosting company will offer about 200MB to 2 GB of data
transfer each month for the cheap website hosting company, while the higher
price company could offer lots more. Some web hosting will offer unlimited
data transfer to site that use their web hosting service.
Data transfer is important because, it is the scale to check whether how much
or how many page can be view. For example, if one page of our
website is 20KB, for 200 MB data transfer a month, we will able to have
about 10,000 a month! 10,000 page view a month is a lots and if you can
attract such huge visitors to your site, you can make a handsome profit out of
it. However, do remind our self that we create website to attract visitor and
we will try our best to have more and more visitor. If lets say, in one
particular month our page has reach 10,000 page view, the next visitor that
want to view the 10,001 page will not able to do that. This incident is rarely
occurred for small website, but if you website has good demand and good
ranking, this may possible. 3.
Uptime
Normally website hosting will guarantee 99.9% up per year. We have to check
this out, because during the server downtime, our visitor will unable to visit
our site. Which translate to loss on income or loss of profit to us. 4.

Sometimes problem may occurred and if we have host our website with a
reputable website hosting, the service that they give is very important. Well,
we don’t want cases where our site is not up or the visitors unable to visit

correction right? I understand that it is difficult to know how effective is
their service. However, from my experience I still satisfied with some

Statistic is very important to a website. The statistic that we get will help
us to make our strategy based on what kind of visitor that visit our site and
what are they looking for. Some site statistic even have country detail that

detail we may able to expand our topic correctly to serve our visitor better.
Some statistic will able to show us information such as how many unique
visitor that visit us in the month, mow many time our site have been visited,
how many page have been viewed, how long a visitor stay on our site, from

provide us with more statistic, the better for us to create the site. 6.

POP mail account is one of the feature that I like to check when I decide on
which site hosting that I want. It is always nice to have email account with
the name of our domain name. It look more professional when we deal with
others using this email instead of normal free email provider (such as hotmail
or yahoo mail). For example if my site is money-guide.biz, the POP mail can be
info@money-guide.biz. Some of the
site hosting will provide this service for free, which mean that we don’t
have to pay extra to have this type of email. However, how many email that
they provide will vary from one hosting to another hosting provider. 7.
What language that they able to support
Not all cheap website hosting will able to support all language, some of them
is suitable for Html site, and some of them will support some other language
such as php, asp, or some other database. This is actually based on our type
of site that we plan do to, if we plan to use only html to create our website,
I think it is fine for all host. However, if we plan to use some other

However, I can not guarantee that they provide good service or how long the
